An engine rebuild is one of the most involved jobs in automotive repair — and one of the most rewarding when done correctly. We do full teardowns, precision measurement, and quality reassembly. Every rebuild leaves our shop running better than it came in.
We disassemble the engine completely and inspect every component — block, head, crank, rods, pistons, valves, and cam. Nothing gets reused without measurement.
Bores, decks, and valve seats get measured against spec. We work with qualified machine shops for any resurfacing, boring, or honing required before assembly.
We use quality replacement rings, bearings, gaskets, and seals. We do not cut corners on internal components — they are the hardest to access if something fails later.
Valve jobs, seat cutting, guide replacement, and head resurfacing are part of a complete rebuild. A fresh bottom end with a neglected head is a half-done job.
After assembly, we follow a proper break-in procedure and verify oil pressure, coolant temps, and all operating parameters before the vehicle leaves the shop.
Every job at C&D follows the same process — diagnose, quote, repair, verify. See how it works →
Engine rebuilds at C&D Automotive range from $2,500-6,000+ depending on engine size and condition.
